A mother and her 3-year-old daughter were injured when they were struck by a car Friday in Valencia.
The mother was pushing her daughter in a stroller through the crosswalk at the intersection of Magic Mountain Parkway and Auto Center Drive at about 2 p.m. when they were hit by a Chevrolet Pacifica, Lt. Tom Bryski with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station said.
The toddler suffered scrapes and bruises, but the mother may have broken her arm, Bryski said.
"The car was stopped waiting for traffic to clear before it turned and it didn't check to the right and the lady came off the curb with the stroller and the car took off and hit them," he said.
The driver then stopped to assist the mother and son, Bryski said.
The mother and daughter were taken to Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital for treatment, he said.
