New Jewish school head

Nancy Freedman Pipolo joined Congregation Beth Shalom as the new religious school director while office manager Mary Smith assumed the role as synagogue administrator. Carol Bloom, former preschool assistant director, was promoted to director of the Early Childhood Education Center.

Pipolo is a graduate of the University of Judaism and UCLA and is the former curriculum development coordinator at Abraham Joshua Heschel Day School West in Agoura.

She is also the former director of Jewish Family Experience at Adat Ari El in Valley Village and has taught Judaic studies in grades 4 through 8 at Heschel and Temple Aliyah in Woodland Hills.

She continues to prepare B’nai Mitzvah candidates as a private tutor.

Congregation Beth Shalom is located at 21430 Centre Pointe Parkway.
