Regarding “Chief’s suicide under scrutiny” (Nov. 21):

Such sorrow. A man who served 24 years of his life for the Fire Department takes his own life because of it.

I am sure no words can explain the thoughts and feelings Timothy Ottman must had been feeling the day he took his life.

I understand that he was under investigation and had rigorous amounts of stress on his shoulders, but I wish he knew that taking his life doesn’t solve anything but just adds more hurt and pain.

My prayers go out to his wife, Valerie, whom you can tell he loved dearly, and to his family. Rest in peace, Chief Timothy Ottman.
