Just a note regarding Mr. Osbornes' column on JJ DiLuigi. It was nice to have Cary back, if only for one column.

The column was well done, but what was wonderful was his summing up what so many high school stars go through at the next level or no level at all. The back road or the road ahead.

His article really hit home with me. He might want to add the following:

• Where heart overcomes talent

• Where determination overcomes mediocrity

• Where desire overcomes indifference

• Where failure is not a consideration.
