Imagine my surprise when I opened the paper and saw an opinion piece from Frank Arenson blaming liberals for the fear-mongering that has been happening over the past eight years with the Bush Administration.

Whoa! Wait a minute! Could it be that Betty and Frank are related?

Seems they take up so much space with their rants. Seems they don't understand what "brevity" means, or they are excluded from following those requests because ... Why?
Come on, Signal!

We are anxious because when we aren't, there is an election every two years and the administration has to raise the threat level. The message from the rabid right is: "Be afraid, be very afraid."

We are anxious because the Bush administration has raped our coffers on a war that was suppose to pay for itself, has ignored our precious constitution and ignored what "We the people" really means and given our democracy to lobbyists.

Lighten up! It is not a we-versus-them society.

It has worked for eight long years, this fear mongering, and two years ago the American people began to see the light and say, "Enough is enough. Let's bring balance to our democracy so that it isn't a one-party rule anymore."

The moral and monetary bankruptcy that was led by the one-party rule for six years came to an end in 2006, and now it's time to look at the damage that has been done and to clean it up.

Not as an us-versus-them society, but as one people.

A people that include the Arensons but not necessarily their voices alone. It's time to give voice to more people who aren't afraid to debunk the myths that continue to perpetuate this us-versus-them mentality.
