Democrats ditched

For several months prior to the Nov. 2 elections, Paul Henry Sibek peppered us with several letters laughing and poking fun at Republicans.

Republicans “could be fading away or breaking in two,” he wrote.

Republicans were “racist/liars ... bewildered ... extremists ... radical ... and uninformed....” according to Sibek. He even felt “sorry for the Republicans.”

These are just a few of the venomous remarks Sibek hurled at Republicans.

But his prediction that “...the Democrats are not likely to lose control of the House...” is my favorite Sibek comment.

Let’s see now: Republicans picked up more than 60 seats to take control of the House; six and probably seven Senate seats, enough to support a filibuster; 23 governors and 19 state legislatures; and best of all, no more Nancy Pelosi in our faces. Why, even Proposition 19 failed.

Sorry, Bruce McFarland, but you only batted .222 on your proposition recommendations.

And Sibek’s renowned “critical thinking” surely ran into Obama’s “muddy ditch.”
