Win-win library solution

I have the easy solution to the library problems (changing hands from county control to city control).

Since the county does not have to pay anymore for the maintenance of the libraries in the city of Santa Clarita, the county should open county libraries in the unincorporated areas of the Santa Clarita Valley.

This will be a win-win solution because it will double the number of public libraries in the area.

For example, the county can open a library at the corner of The Old Road and Pico Canyon that will be an excellent complement to the Walmart and Goodwill stores on the opposite corners.

After all, in Stevenson Ranch, we all pay more than $10,000 in property taxes per year, with little return in services by the county.

This will be a great opportunity for Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich to show that he cares for our area.
