The closures are expected to take place Monday through Friday until the early fall. Some weekend work is anticipated.
The section of the road will be closed due to the installation of transmission pipes by Castaic Lake Water Agency.
Drivers can expect traffic delays and detours, while the surrounding area can expect construction-related noise, large trucks, pavement breaking, trench work, compaction and vibration.
Work crews will plate and re-open all travel lanes on a daily basis. Drivers will still be able to access entrances to local businesses.
