Sharon Tuck and Patrick Lanphere met at the Culver City Rollerdrome in 1956.

They were married Oct. 8, 1960, and moved to the Santa Clarita Valley in 1969.

They recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.

Sharon Lanphere retired from the William S. Hart Union School District in 2000 after 27 years in special education.

Patrick Lanphere retired in 2008 after 47 years in the air conditioning equipment industry.

The couple have two children and five grandchildren

They spend part of their retirement at the Santa Clarita Senior Center and the new L.A. Fitness Center.
