Local sheriff's deputies are searching for a man who robbed a local gas station at gunpoint Thursday night.

The robbery occurred at approximately 11 p.m., according to Lt. Mark Hershey with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station.

Brandishing a black revolver, the man reportedly robbed the Shell gas station at 18003 Soledad Canyon Road of $140 and then fled on foot.

The gas station is located near the intersection of Galeton Road.

The gunman was described as a white male standing about 5 feet, 9 inches tall.

There were no reported injuries.
