Local state Assemblyman Cameron Smyth has received top marks from the California Chamber of Commerce for the fourth year in a row for his stance on bills important to the organization, officials announced Tuesday.

The chamber rated legislators based on their positions on 17 bills it deemed “job creators” or “job killers” and gave Smyth, a Republican from Santa Clarita, a 100 percent grade.

“It is always an honor to be recognized by the California Chamber of Commerce, an organization with a long history of standing up for the small businesses that are the backbone of our economy,” Smyth said in a prepared statement.
