Don’t rock the boat

In reference to the complaint regarding the temperature of the Friendly Valley Country Club swimming pool authored by Joyce Quinn, I agree that the water seems cooler now that winter approaches.

But doesn’t that happen each year as natural sun heat lowers with natural solar regularity?

All association homeowners always have a choice — higher dues and assessments for newer technology aids, or higher utility bills for the association.

These decisions are made at the open-to-all meetings. Kudos to Quinn for her interest.

But I must compliment and defend recreation board member Robert J. Trulik for his years of loyal, knowledgeable and dedicated service on many volunteer boards here at Friendly Valley.

I personally know of his expertise overseeing care and control of our pools. I am handicapped by polio and feel blessed to be able to utilize both the swim and the jacuzzi waters in comfort, but when it is colder outside, baby, it’s going to feel colder all over.

Trulik has done a fine job at a thankless task for many years.

Our lovely club is outstandingly beautiful, with every possible amenity not duplicated often by competing senior resident associations.

Don’t rock the boat. Show appreciation and support for our board members who have done such a good job for those who, for whatever reason, cannot or do not volunteer to serve.
