Patrick and Sharon Lanphere, of Saugus, are pleased to announce the engagement of their granddaughter, Shanna Lanphere to Buddy Simmons, of Stevenson Ranch.

The bride-elect is a 2005 graduate of Saugus High School and is employed at L.A. Fitness in Valencia.

The groom-elect is the son of Terry and Diana Simmons, of Canyon Country.

He is a 2005 graduate of Santa Clarita Christian and is employed at Central Park.

The couple became engaged July 11 at Dodger Stadium.

The couple is planning an early winter wedding.
