Quinn complaining III

Reading the letter sent to (The Signal) by Joyce Quinn regarding the Friendly Valley Recreation Board, which slammed Bob Trulik, got my hackles up (“Friendly Valley board in hot water,” Oct. 18.)!

For one thing, it makes me mad as hell when people volunteer for positions in our community, and other people have nothing better to do but complain.

Bob Trulik is and has been a very dedicated member of the board, not a paid politician.

I spoke to him myself early this past summer about the pool heater, and he told me that there definitely was a problem  — and he was working hard to solve it — but it would take some time.

As to Quinn’s statement, “Either the heater setting is wrong or we need better maintenance,” perhaps it should be “our dues should be increased so we have plenty of money to buy new equipment.” I wonder how she would react to that!

In my view, the present board has been one of the best we have had in the seven years that my husband and I have been living in Friendly Valley. I know there are many other homeowners who agree with me.
