Philippines' national heroes honored in SCV Oct. 23

As a part of the organization's mission to engage, promote, preserve and maintain Filipino heritage, the Fil-Am Association of SCV, Inc. will host the "Discover Philippines National Heroes" workshop on Saturday, Oct. 23, from 12:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Participants will get a glimpse of two of the Philippines' national heroes, Dr. Jose Rizal and Andres Bonifacio, personified by Fil-Am scholars Nolan Carreon and Marc Abuel.

There will also be an opportunity to learn about Philippine historical sites, geography, folklore, music and language.

The event is free and will be held at the Valencia Library's conference hall.
