An eight-minute vehicle pursuit ended with the arrest of an 18-year-old Canyon Country resident Sunday morning, according to Lt. Tom Bryski of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station.

At around 9:30 a.m., deputies responded to what was originally a report of a reckless drunk driver. Bryski said deputies determined that the car, being driven by Anthony Morejon, was a stolen vehicle. After the vehicle pursuit, Morejon allegedly left the car at Gazeley Street and fled on foot. With the help of informants, Bryski said deputies were able to contain an area and eventually arrest Morejon at his home on Forrest Street. The suspect was held on grand theft and felony evading charges.
