“A Helping Hand,” a limited edition giclee canvas by Morgan Weistling.

Artist Morgan Weistling will present his oil paintings at B&R Art Gallery in Canyon Country this Saturday, Oct. 16, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Winner of the 2010 Patron's Choice Award from the Autry National Heritage Museum show, Masters of the American West, Weistling has made fine art the focus of his art career and the collector demand for his originals has been overwhelming.

With his masterful use of oils, Weistling brings a scene to life with spectacular lighting, creating a sense of wonder and engaging the viewer's imagination and emotion.

Weistling will meet and talk with collectors and sign books at the show, and there will be wine tasting for attendees, plus a door prize of a framed Morgan Weistling canvas giclee. An "original" Morgan Weistling painting will be available for purchase. In addition to Weistling's art, the gallery has an eclectic mix of local and international art on display.

Weistling will autograph and personalize the backs of his canvas giclees or the certificates of his prints, so if you own a book of his or some art bring it in to the show.

The event is free and there will be lots of food. Also, gallery co-owner Dave Joseph will perform on guitar and mandolin on request and may even do "Hotel California," "House of the Rising Sun" and a couple of original numbers such as "Running from the Law" and "Jamin in New Orleans," which he wrote guitar and lyrics for.

B&R Art Gallery is located at 17726 Sierra Highway, Canyon Country, CA 91355. RSVP to (661) 298-2038. Visit www.bnr-art.com for more information.
