Senior Center benefit run
What: A 5K race and 1K Kids-Grandparents Walk through Six Flags Magic Mountain. Funds will help the SCV Senior Center Foundation replace its stolen and damaged meal trucks.

Festival of the Arts
What: The Santa Clarita Festival of the Arts is a free outdoor event open to the public. Watch local artists create works of art, from concept to completion.

Pumpkin Festival
What: Lombardi Ranch hosts its 22nd annual Scarecrow Contest. Also includes a pumpkin carving contest, free train rides, petting zoo, pony rides, live music and more.

Friends and Family Day
What: A day of fellowship. Coffee and donuts, classes for all ages, worship service, lunch and desserts and a singing group.

Living Grace grand opening
What: Living Grace Christian Fellowship celebrates the grand opening of a new building and its 10-year anniversary with a special service and event.

Gentle Barn open house

What: See and play with all kinds of rescued animals while hearing their stories at The Gentle Barn Foundation. Suggested donation of $5 per person.

Bras for a Cause
What: Soroptomist International of SCV presents the seventh annual Bras for a Cause, featuring exotic refreshments, beautifully decorated bras, hors d’oeuvres and wine tasting, silent auction, raffles and more. Tickets are $65.

What: The performance group Pilobolus performs as part of its 40th anniversary. Tickets range from $20 to $45.

Learn to curl
What: Ice Station Valencia and the Hollywood Curling Club hosts Learn-to-Curl Clinics for beginners ages 8 to adult. Costs $15 per person, parties of four or more $10 per person. Bring rubber-soled shoes, warm sweater, jacket and gloves.
