VFW Post 6110 will host the first Hot Rod Nite, 5-9 p.m. on Saturday. The monthly celebration of classic, collectable, custom, high performance cars, bikes and trucks is scheduled to become a monthly event on the third Saturday of each month.
The family-friendly event will feature barbecue, live band, trophies for the car show and a great "array of Harleys." For more information call (661) 252-9989.
‘Star Wars Under the Stars'
The lawns and amphitheater of Tesoro Adobe Historic Park is the setting for a monthly family fun fest called: "Star Wars Under the Stars - Saturday Night at the Movies." The Tesoro Del Valle residents and its families can experience crafts, snacks, games and a tour with a movie on the lawn of this historic park. Open to the public and free. At 7 p.m. on Aug. 23, "The Empire Strikes Back" rated G at Tesoro Adobe Historic Park, 29350 Avenida Rancho Tesoro, Valencia. Free, bring your own picnic dinner.
