Lola is a purebred female Beagle, age 7. She is available for adoption at New Leash on Life Animal Rescue.

What a little lovebug Lola is! When she was picked up from the isolation section of the shelter, Lola seemed very sad and depressed. The fly strike scars on the backs of her ears tell us she was left outside and most likely neglected. She pretty much melted in our arms when we held her as if she was relieved to be with people who could give her any kind of affection.

Now that Lola is with us, she has perked up quite a bit. Any time one of us walks by her kennel, she makes her presence known with a classic beagle howl-bark. And we can never seem to resist sitting by her side and petting her soft fur.

A typical beagle, Lola loves to explore and sniff everything in sight, but she is also extremely loving and quite happily falls asleep in your lap.

Whatever happened in her past has caused Lola to be a bit timid. It seems she is afraid to do anything wrong in fear of getting in trouble. But her confidence is increasing every day and we have all fallen in love with this mellow girl.

If you're missing a sweet and loving lap dog in your life, then fill out an application for loveable Lola today.

Lola is a Beagle Purebred, 7 years old, small size, female, older kids OK.
