The West Ranch dance team will host a dance clinic Oct. 23 to benefit the SCV Food Pantry.

The West Ranch High School Dance Team is doing more than just dancing these days.

On Oct. 23, West Ranch High School Dance will host a dance clinic at the school’s gymnasium and a food drive to benefit the Santa Clarita Valley Food Pantry. The food drive will be held in conjunction with the city of Santa Clarita’s Make a Difference Day.

As part of the clinic, the team will teach a dance routine to children in three age groups, ranging from kindergarten through fifth grade. The cost is $12, in addition to two food-item donations to the SCV Food Pantry. The dance clinic will conduct two sessions from 8:30-11:30 a.m. and 1-4 p.m.

Registration forms are available at local dance studios in the Santa Clarita Valley and at the KHTS Kiosk at Westfield Valencia Town Center.

The team already got a head start on giving back by donating school supplies to the Boys & Girls Club of the Santa Clarita Valley and packaging meals for the Children of the Nations to distribute to impoverished children.
