Legendary songwriter-singer Jesse Barish and red-hot SCV rock band The Feaver will perform on SCVTV's new weekly half-hour television program "House Blend" tonight at 10 Pacific time.

The show runs on SCVTV via Time Warner Cable Channel 20 in the Santa Clarita Valley and AT&T U-Verse 99/Santa Clarita and streams live at (click "SCVTV live" on the toolbar at top left).

Hosted by Stephen K. Peeples, online editor and entertainment columnist for the Santa Clarita Valley Signal daily newspaper, and produced at the SCVTV Media Center in Newhall, "House Blend" is set in an intimate coffeehouse motif.

Each show presents live in-studio performances and interviews with fast-rising musical talent from the Santa Clarita Valley and beyond.

Legendary songwriter-singer Jesse Barish has written more than 600 songs. Best known for "Count on Me" and "Hearts," both Top 10 hits from the late '70s/early '80s by Jefferson Starship and Starship singer Marty Balin, respectively, his music has been heard by millions worldwide.

Barish's latest solo album, "Wheel Keep Turning" (2008), blends rock, pop, jazz and reggae with a dash of Beatnik poetry. Tonight, he'll perform "Count on Me" for the first time ever on television, and "Same Old Song and Dance," a new song from his upcoming album, "Restless Soul."

The Feaver is a rock band comprised of four local teens ages 13-15. These talented youths recently won top honors at a battle of the bands competition hosted by radio station 98.7 FM in Los Angeles, and also performed at Summer Meltdown 2010 in May.

The Feaver will play "Kids on the Street," a track from the quartet's eponymous debut EP, and "Saturday Night," a new and as-yet-unrecorded song, and sit down with Peeples for their first-ever television interview.
