Liberalism fails

In today’s edition was a letter by Bill Creitz in which he outlined the failures of liberalism, and listed four steps they could take to reverse their fortunes (“Liberals’ last card,” Aug. 30).

Excellent letter.

Of course, those four steps will never happen, because all those steps are polar opposites to liberal doctrine, and trying to change course like that would be a de facto admission that liberalism is a failure.

What’s also interesting to me is that, as Creitz pointed out, the lefties control absolutely everything, all the legislative branches of government, and yet they keep trying to blame Republicans for their failure to fully enact their agenda.

They don’t need a single GOP vote to enact their agenda, yet they won’t do anything without at least one GOP vote, because without that one vote, they’d have to take sole responsibility for the results of their legislation.

But with that one vote, they can try to hide behind the facade of “bipartisanship.”

It’s going to be very interesting to see what happens in November.
