Saluting the service at Newhall Memorial

The poet George Elliston said, “How beautiful a day can be when kindness touches it.”

During a time when medical professionals endure fiscal shortages and demanding schedules, the dedicated staff at Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital touched my family’s days with kindness. Words can barely express our gratitude for the superb care provided to me during my recent hospitalization.

When discharged from the hospital, it is easy to become caught up in the everyday affairs of one’s personal life.

However, the concern, patience and thoughtfulness demonstrated by the staff at Newhall Memorial made it impossible for my family to move forward without expressing our deepest appreciation to the doctors, nurses, technicians and orderlies who assisted in my care, treatment and day-to-day recovery.

All staff members were comforting, accommodating and often went beyond the call of duty during my weeklong stay.

Let it be recognized that what they do, they obviously do very well. As a local citizen, it is reassuring to know the Santa Clarita Valley has an excellent hospital with an exceptional staff that is committed to outstanding patient care.

To everyone at Newhall Memorial: May you be blessed as you continue to bless the lives of those in your care.
