Rosedell Elementary School in Saugus recently hosted a Back-to-School barbecue sponsored by the Rosedell PTA. The barbecue welcomed back Rosedell Elementary School students and students of the recently closed Bouquet Canyon Elementary School who will now attend Rosedell.

The barbecue was a fun and successful way for new families to meet each other, the teachers and the staff of Rosedell, said
Megan Edwards, Rosedell PTA historian.

Families enjoyed $1 hot dogs and hamburgers flipped by Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station campus deputies.
Sixth-grade students offered a multitude of baked goods for sale priced 50 cents to $1. All proceeds will go toward sixth-grade activities for the upcoming school year.

“It was a beautiful afternoon, and a great way to start the school year,” said Edwards.

Rosedell Elementary School is a K-6 school in the Saugus Union School District.

It is a California distinguished school.
