Joy Bible study
Who: Grace Baptist Church
What: Joy of Living Bible Study for women; an interdenominational, in-depth study of God’s word in an informal, small group setting. A 12-week study of the Book of Job. Child care available for children through age 5.

Patriotic prayer
Who: Hosted by Fresh Fire Intercession Ministries
What: Patriotic Prayer Day to honor the 10th anniversary of Sept. 11. Throughout the day there will be singing, dancing, prayer, salutes, speeches from local dignitaries, pastors and entertainers.

See You at the Pole
Who: Students across the SCV and nation
What: “REVEAL,” Matthew 6:9-13, is the theme for See You at the Pole 2010, the annual global day of student prayer. See You at the Pole is a student-initiated and student-led movement that started in the Ft. Worth suburb of Burleson, Texas, in 1990. The event brings students to their school flagpoles to pray for their leaders, schools, and families.

Helping AIDS patients
Who: Unitarian Universalists of Santa Clarita Valley.
What: The Reverend Stefanie Etsbach-Dale will give the message “Who am I and who are you” with potluck to welcome our minister at noon. Bring a dish to share. Public is always welcome.

Health fair
Who: Santa Clarita United Methodist Church along with Parish Nurse Partnership
What: Health Fair with free screenings for a variety of health issues including cholesterol, blood sugar, high blood pressure , hearing loss and body mass index. Free information on smoking, cessation, acupuncture and the bone marrow national registry.
