Suspected drunk driver collides with Santa Clarita Transit bus

A Santa Clarita Valley Transit bus that had just picked up a passenger and began moving eastbound on Soledad Canyon Road and Golden Oak Road was rear-ended by a passenger car driven by Jeane Dexheimer, 51, of Camarillo, at approximately 10:30 p.m. Thursday, according to a news release from the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station.

The bus had 10 passengers and the driver on board at the time of the collision.

One male adult passenger complained of back pain and was taken to the hospital by ambulance.

Dexheimer, who also sustained minor injuries in the collision, was taken to the hospital by ambulance.

Dexheimer was arrested for suspicion of driving while intoxicated.

The investigation is currently being handled by SCV Sheriff's Station detectives.
