John Silver, director of career services for ITT Technical Institute in Sylmar, will be the keynote speaker at the next Valley Industrial Association luncheon on Aug. 19, beginning at 11:30 a.m.

The luncheon will take place at the Hyatt Valencia, located at 24500 Town Center Drive. Silver will present a historical perspective on technological advances over the last 20 years, as well as discuss the future of technology, industry and employment growth.

The business luncheon is open to the public, The cost is $40 for VIA members and $50 for nonmembers.
