The self-guided art walk down Main Street in the Arts District of Old Downtown Newhall -- anchored by the Canyon Theatre Guild and the Repertory East Playhouse -- returns Thursday.

The monthly Fourth Thursday Art Walk adds a creative element to the Farmer's Market, also located on Main Street, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

At the Art Walk, one can view, appreciate, purchase or participate in art. The event is free for spectators and participants alike.

Visitors begin this family-friendly walk by strolling through the Farmer's Market on Main to the numerous businesses along the street that are featuring various works of art.

Participating shops provide free light refreshments as street performers play various types of music.

Food and hospitality are also available at the El Trocadero Mesquite Steakhouse, 24274 Main St., Newhall 91321 -- where margaritas are only $3 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m for this special event.
