An 18-year-old woman from Hemet was released from custody Thursday after deputies found brass knuckles, a butterfly knife and marijuana in her purse, and arrested her earlier this week.

Deputies were called to a home on Sarabande Street on Monday because residents heard a person screaming. Hillary Eddings had left her boyfriend’s house because the two had been arguing, but she came back while deputies were still there. Deputies were going to take Eddings to a friend’s house but smelled marijuana in her purse, said Lt. Brenda Cambra of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station in an e-mail.

When Eddings’ purse was searched, authorities found a pair of brass knuckles, a butterfly knife and marijuana. Eddings was arrested on two felony counts of possession of a dangerous weapon.

Eddings was released from the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood on Thursday after posting $20,000 bond, according to Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department arrest records.
