A 35-year-old man was arrested in Canyon Country this week after allegedly attempting to take money from somebody else’s bank account.

Moises Sorto Guevara was arrested Tuesday morning at the Wells Fargo Bank on the 19000 block of Soledad Canyon Road trying to withdraw money from someone else’s bank account, authorities said.

Guevara showed deputies a fraudulent El Salvadorian identification card to try to prove the account he was taking money from was his, said Lt. Brenda Cambra of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station in an e-mail.

Guevara was arrested on suspicion of theft by access account, false impersonation of another person and possession of a fraudulent foreign identification card, and was being held on $50,000 bail.
