Castaic child rushed to hospital

A 1-year-old boy was rushed to Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital late Wednesday after a Los Angeles County Fire Department crew and sheriff’s deputies responded to a reported drowning on Buckskin Drive in Castaic, according to Sheriff’s Department officials.

The crews were dispatched at 7:57 p.m., according to county Fire Department officials. The child was stabilized and then taken to Childrens Hospital Los Angeles, according to Sheriff’s Department reports.
