Filming of some scenes for a feature film wrapped up Thursday at West Ranch High School in Stevenson Ranch.

Film crews for "Stay Cool," starring Hillary Duff, Winona Ryder, Chevy Chase and Mark Polish, spent a week at the Hart district school, according to Pat Willett, spokeswoman for the William S. Hart Union High School District.

"When the movie ‘Stay Cool' comes out, moviegoers may well recognize some of the settings," Willett said. "We have an excellent relationship with the television and film industry. They not only pay for the cost to our schools, they also make a sizable donation to a school's ASB when they use it."

"Stay Cool" tells the story of an author (Polish) who returns to his hometown to deliver a commencement address and has to deal with his feelings for an old flame (Ryder) as well as the advances of a student (Duff) who has the hots for him.

The film is set for release in 2009.
