The California Department of Education just released its annual STAR test results, which every public school student locally and across the state takes each year.

The Standardized Testing and Accountability (STAR) assessment tests students on a variety of subjects, including the English language arts and math.

Educators use the information to learn how their students are performing and what areas of instruction to improve on.
