The SELPA consists of the Castaic Union, Newhall, Saugus Union, Sulphur Springs and William S. Hart Union High school districts, which work together to provide special education services to students with disabilities.

The services offered are in accordance with the Individuals with Disabilities Act.

Students with the following impairments may be eligible for special-education services: deaf; hard of hearing; blind; partially sighted; mental retardation; orthopedic handicap; autism; learning disability; traumatic brain injury; other health impairments; speech and language disorders; or emotional disturbance conditions.
