Benefits of a clay mask

Are you suffering from “summer skin"? Has too much sun and heat left your skin desert dry thirsting for moisture.

Are you oily and/or acneic and tried everything short of devil worship to control your skin?

Has your favorite night cream betrayed you and stop working?

A clay facial could be the answer. I’m not talking about the foo-foo ready made clay facial mixes with beautiful fragrances. I’m talking about clay straight from volcanic ashes, the kind of mask that as it dries you can feel your skin pulsate because impurities and toxins are literally being pulled out of your skin.

Nothing absorbs dirt, oil, impurities and dead skin like a clay mask. The particles of clay carry a negative electrical charge. Absorption of toxins take place when clay draws particles into its internal layered structure — much like a sponge.

A clay mask has many benefits. It stimulates and increases circulation, tightens sagging skin, refines enlarged pores, exfoliates by lifting dead skin cells and cleanses the skin like no other mask. Clay masks are good for all skin types. For acneic skin it rids the skin of impurities that cause breakouts. For oily skin it absorbs excess oil leaving clean skin behind. For dry skin it increases much needed circulation and rids the skin of dead skin cells allowing serums, ampoules, lotions and cream to penetrate deeper.

Have you ever bought a cream that in the beginning worked wonders only to be disappointed when it eventually stopped working for you? Chances are your skins surface is working against you as a barrier not allowing that cream to penetrate. We are bombarded with pollution, dirt, grime and oil every day. Even the best of skin care can leave a layer of dead skin and debris behind. A clay mask binds to that layer and lifts it away allowing your products to absorb more fully.

For those of you blessed beauties with normal skin, clay will bring essential nutrients and oxygen to your skin. It will deep clean and maintain your beautiful skin. Whatever your skin type is, clay will leave you glowing and vibrant.
