Slip n’ Slide in Valencia
What: A fundraiser for the nonprofit organization Project Parachute, featuring cast members from ABC’s “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette,” a 116-foot-long slip ‘n slide dodgeball and volleyball games and a live DJ. Admission is free.

Relay For Life ‘Bowl-A-Thon’
What: The Relay Committee hosts a bowling fundraiser for the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life. Costs $25 per person and includes three hours of bowling, shoe rental, two slices of pizza and soda.

SCV Jaycees Texas
Hold ’em tourney

What: The Santa Clarita Valley Jaycees will host the fifth annual Brenda Mehling Cancer Fund/Debbie Templeton Texas Hold ‘Em Charity Poker. Evening includes food, drinks, professional dealers, tables and tournament directors provided by the Dealer Dolls. Top 10 players receive a prize. Door prizes, $125 per player (21 and over) or $140 at door, guests (nonplayers) $40, tickets include meal with beer and wine.

Silents Under the Stars
