If you are a pilot, air show aficionado, flight enthusiast or merely like to "Oooo" and "Ahhh," your next two weekends are already planned for you. Two thrilling air shows are on tap: this weekend in Santa Paula, and next weekend in Camarillo.
Legends of flight and aerobatics will perform at either one or both shows, including, among others, Rob Harrison, "The Tumbling Bear" (Zlin 50LS, both shows); Dr. Frank Donnelly, "Dr. D" (Taylorcraft, Santa Paula, ); Clay Lacy (Lear Jet, Santa Paula); Sam Mason (glider, Santa Paula); Chris Olmstead (Pitts, Santa Paula); John Collver (War Dog, Camarillo); and Chuck Aaron (helicopter, Camarillo).
There will be fly-bys, dog fights, formation flights, helicopter water drops, and displays of experimental, military and vintage aircraft on the ground. Food and other vendors will be on hand and there will be plenty of activities for children.
