Dhillon oversees a team of certified therapists, registered nurses, and support staff for the hospital’s acute rehabilitation unit and outpatient services. The 19-bed acute rehabilitation center treats patients with orthopedic, neurological and complex medical conditions.
“We will work together to highlight the importance of fitness, activity and overall health to improve function in a wide range of disabilities and muskuloskeletal problems,” Dhillon said in a statement.
Dhillon replaced Dr. Raymond Gritton on July 2, who acquired the position in 2006. He stepped down to spend more time with his children.
“Her focus on developing and implementing a strategic plan for rehabilitation medicine, and promoting utilization of services throughout the continuum, will distinguish Henry Mayo as a health care provider,” said John Schleif, senior vice president and chief operating officer.
Dhillon is board certified in neurology, and, prior to entering into private practice, was a fellow and clinical instructor at UCLA Medical Center.
