VIA’s monthly luncheon to focus on city’s history, victories and highlights

The Valley Industrial Association (VIA) is holding its monthly business luncheon, Aug. 17 at 11:45 a.m. Keynote speaker, Carl Newton, city attorney for Santa Clarita, will offer a unique overview of the city of Santa Clarita based on his 23 years of service. Councilman Bob Kellar, a longtime resident of the Santa Clarita Valley and mayor in 2004 and 2008, will join Newton.

Discussions will center on the city’s history, significant victories, “near misses,” and the existing and future concerns for local citizens.

VIA’s luncheon will be at the Valencia Country Club, which is located at 27330 Tourney Road. The luncheon cost $40 for members and $50 for visitors. RSVP by today at 661-294-8088 or www.via.org.
