“Tommy Moose is a cuddly moose in a read sweater designed to be given to children in distress by emergency police and fire personnel,” said Maggie LaBash, secretary/treasurer of the Moose Lodge. “The idea was conceived by our organization Moose International, a family fraternity, to ease the physical and emotional pain suffered by children in emergency situations.”
Among the agencies to receive the seven dozen toys distributed were the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station, SCV Highway Patrol office and area fire stations.
Among those who assisted in the distribution of the toys were Moose members and officers, Governor Frank Price, Senior Regent Ann Azevedo and Prelate Butch LaBash who was accompanied by his grandson Travis LaBash.
