Ronald D. Morgan, a certified-public accountant with Sterb, Kory, Sreden and Morgan in Stevenson Ranch, has been credentialed as a personal-finance specialist by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. The PFS credential, held by several thousand CPAs nationwide, was established in 1987. CPAs who earn the PFS credential must be re-certified every three years.

"Given their formal education and technical training in the areas of accountancy and taxation, CPAs are the most qualified, knowledgeable and objective financial planning professionals," James Metzler, AICPA vice-president of small-firm interests, said in a statement.
