Los Angeles County - The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors approved the construction of the new Fire Station 150 at 19190 Golden Valley Road in Santa Clarita Tuesday, to provide vital fire protection, emergency medical and life safety services, Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich said.

The nearly 20,000 square-foot facility will serve as a Battalion Headquarters and consist of a three-bay apparatus room, training room and dormitory quarters for 10 shift personnel.

The $12.5 million station is scheduled to open in early 2012, along with Fire Station 128, giving the Santa Clarita Valley a total of 15 fire stations to serve local residents.
