What: The city of Santa Clarita Transit provides bus service to and from Santa Monica. Costs $3 for all children and adults, $1.50 for senior citizens (60+) and persons with disabilities (with proper ID). See website for routes and pickup locations.

What: Relay for Life teams host a rummage sale with proceeds benefiting the American Cancer Society.

‘Canines and Coffee’

The New You Women’s Expo
What: First women’s expo in the Santa Clarita Valley. Focuses on health, beauty, education and business for women. See exhibitions, seminars, guest speakers and more. Tickets are $10, men and children attend for free.

What: Barnes & Noble Bookstore hosts morning storytime for toddlers.

WalkNature
What: A short, easy nature walk for the whole family. A native animal show will follow the hike.

Benefit car wash

What: Hart High School’s cheer team hosts a fundraiser car wash. Tickets for a VIP Platinum Car Wash cost $10.

‘Newhallywood on Location’
What: Taught by E.J. Stephens, “Newhallywood on Location: History of Film/TV in the SCV” will highlight the hundreds of television and film locations featured since the earliest days of cinema. Final class costs $50. Classes will be held at various locations.
