I e-mailed this letter to Senators Boxer and Feinstein. I also sent it to the Governor. The “political football” of drilling for oil wherever it is in the United States is a typical example of the cynicism of the left.

We need to drill here, not just to keep ourselves in petroleum for the future, but to let OPEC and the other enemies know that our dependence on them will be ending.

If Obama wins the election, you can be sure we will begin drilling in earnest. The Democrats don’t want the Bush administration to get the credit for drilling now.

Anyone with any sense at all sees through their ploy to let the oil companies drill in those leased areas that they know have little or no oil.

We do need to pursue solar and wind but oil is what is needed now and for many years. Please support the present administration to begin drilling now.
