Lexus Jazz and Blues Series
The sounds of live jazz and blues bands once again fill Town Center Drive in Valencia during the 10th annual Lexus of Valencia Jazz & Blues Concert Series. Hours for the concerts will be 7-9:30 p.m. and they will take place on Town Center Drive adjacent to the Hyatt Valencia. No pets or outside food or beverages are allowed. Admission is free. The concert line-up includes: Friday - Lightnin' Willie & the Poorboys, Aug. 8 - Lori Andrews JazHarp Quartet, Aug. 15 - Tom Nolan Band, Aug. 22 - Teresa James & the Rhythm Tramps, Aug. 29 - The Delgado Brothers, Sept. 5 - Michael John & the Bottom Line. REP "81 Series"
The Repertory East Playhouse continues the "81 Series" through Saturday. Show times are Friday and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. This is a limited engagement performance. Heart of the Canyons Broadcast
Between 6:30 and 9 p.m on Friday, and onSaturday between 8:30 a.m. and noon, Christian author Beth Moore will be delivering a message to women across the country via satellite. Friday Night Flickers
The Santa Clarita Valley Historical Society presents classic silent comedies on Friday at 7:30 p.m. The films will be shown outdoors near the historic Saugus Train Station in Heritage Junction, Newhall. Volleyball Clinic

Performing Arts Camp
Showdown Performing Arts Theater Camp will offer a full week of theater classes, from10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Aug. 4-8 at the Sierra Vista Branch of the Santa Clarita Valley Boys and Girls Club on the campus of Sierra Vista Junior High School, 19425 Stillmore, Canyon Country. Vacation Bible School
Valencia United Methodist Church will be holding Vacation Bible School during the week of Aug. 4. Preschoolers through 6th graders are invited to join.
