UPDATED: Motorcyclist killed Saturday identified

The Los Angeles County Coroner has identified the motorcyclist killed early Saturday morning as Thomas Mark Ryan, 51, of Canyon Country.

“The cause of death is multiple traumatic injuries,” Coroner’s spokesman Craig Harvey said Monday.

His death is being labelled an accident, Harvey said.

Ryan was born April 20, 1957.

Deputies from the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff Station’s Traffic Office are still investigating the fatal collision.

At about 1:55 a.m. Saturday, deputies responded to reports that a motorcycle had crashed into a parked car near Canna Valley and Wistaria Valley roads in Canyon Country.

The Los Angeles County Fire Department also responded.

Investigators are asking anyone who may have witnessed the collision to contact Detective Jeff Maag of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station at (661) 799-5112.
