It’s only 60 feet

The Vasquez Canyon Road bridge (at Bouquet Canyon Road) is still not open after approximately 10 months of work. Perhaps some perspective is necessary.

The Golden Gate Bridge is 8,981 feet long and took more than four years to construct from start to finish. The Vasquez bridge is about 60 feet long and to date has taken more than 10 months and is yet to be finished. At that pace (.2 feet per day), the Golden Gate Bridge would have taken just under 123 years to construct. We would still be falling into the San Francisco Bay well into the 2050s.

This is ridiculous. It’s a 60-foot bridge. This is your tax dollars at work. Stop futzing around and get it done.
