I congratulate you on Monday, July 14's front page. The Signal senior and possibly the only weekend writer Jim Holt rules the front page.

Three stories on the cover were all written by one writer, Jim Holt. That, too, should either get Jim a bonus or an award!

Jim’s story on Ed Begley had no pictures? Why? Next, the drinking water story is a great concept, but what I have asked The Signal many, many times for is a map to also show the path of the water.

That would have helped stress the distance it has to travel to get to the Santa Clarita Valley. Remember the old adage that a picture is worth. ...

Why the article on the Dodge Challenger was the top story on the front page baffles me. OK, small 200k town.

Thanks for your continued coverage of the SAG strike. The L.A. Times seemed to have forgotten that Hollywood is part of L.A. Keep up the great work and I wish I could give you all a raise.
