At-risk teenager Jose Meza, of Newhall, has been keeping himself busy working on creating and developing a five-panel mural that illustrates images of Santa Clarita Valley’s past and present. The art project is a collaboration between the Santa Clarita Valley Community Center and ARTree, a nonprofit that introduces the arts to children and teenagers. The mural is an opportunity for at-risk teenagers to show pride in their community and stay away from trouble during the summer.
